PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for folding a sheet in particular a printed sheet. SOLUTION: The sheet 2 is horizontally put and fed to a feed surface 7 and is fed to at least two initial folding rollers 4 by a rectilinear knife 6, and is received by the initial folding rollers 6 to form a fold 8. Then the sheet 2 is sent out before completely folded. The sheet 2 is sent out after the fold 8 is completed by at least two moving rollers 5. The sheet 2 is folded and sent out by one operation to eliminate an additional open operation before a further process of the sheet 2.
