PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute an automatic thread fastening device of a chuck click type with no trouble of dropping a screw free to fasten the screw on a constructing surface different in height of an assembly part by a simple change of a mechanism. SOLUTION: A power screw driver 4 and a slide rod 6 held by a base plate 3 are elevated by a main drive cylinder 2, a chuck unit 5 separated and positioned at the time of screw inputting from a bit 4a of the screw driver 4 by an auxiliary drive cylinder 7 is assembled free to move to pull up to an approaching position after screw inputting until the screw driver 4 reaches a lower dead center by the main drive cylinder 2, a stopper block 9 having a plural number of stages of rod receiving surfaces 9a, 9b to regulate stroke length of the main drive cylinder 2 is set on a lower frame plate 1b of a body frame 1, and a driving cylinder to change a pull-up stroke of the chuck unit 5 as the auxiliary drive cylinder 7 in accordance with the regulating stroke of the main drive cylinder 2 is equipped.
