PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leader connecting device adjustable in a lengthwise direction even if excess or insufficiency arises to the whole length of the leader. SOLUTION: This connecting device for vertically connecting the leader 1 to each other comprises an upper joint 2 having a receiving part for insert- fitting the upper leader 1, at the upper part, and an insertion part at the lower part; and a lower joint 3 having a receiving part for insert-fitting the insertion part of the upper joint 2, at the upper part, and an insertion part insert-fitted to the lower vertical gutter, at the lower part. One face of the insert-fitting contact faces of the upper joint 2 and lower joint 3 is provided with an engaging projecting part 13, and the other face is provided with a recessed part 17 for storing the engaging projecting part 13 slidably in a vertical direction.
