PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a building exterior wall, which prevents the rainwater and the like from soaking through a joint between the exterior walls to the indoor side. SOLUTION: In the building exterior wall, a dry, first joint material 20-1 is fitted in a first joint 7 vertically formed between the exterior wall materials 1 adjoining each other at the right and left, and fin strips of the joint materials 20-1 are pressed to the exterior wall material 1 to obtain a watertight condition. On the indoor side of the pressed part of the fin strips 27, space sections 33 are formed, which are opened to the upper surface of starters so that air passages for the fresh air are opened downward. As a result, the fresh air is guided into the space sections 33, making the pressure in the sections equal to that of the fresh air, so that not rainwater soaks through the pressured part of the fin strips 27.
