PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic material for mounting a floor joist, which permits the floor joist to be mounted on a girth and enables a transfer of axial force between a stud on an upper floor and a stud on a lower floor. SOLUTION: The metallic material 10 for mounting the floor joist 12 includes the first side plate 16 and the second side plate 18. The plate 16 is fixed to a web 14a of the girth 14 by a screw 38, and the plate 18 is fixed to a web 12a of the floor joist 12 by the screw 38, for the purpose of making the floor joist 12 mounted within a groove of the girth 14. The plates 16 and 18 are set equal or approximately equal in height to the web 14a in order to make a section between upper and lower flanges of the girth 14 supported by the metallic material 10. Accordingly, the axial force occurring in the stud 48 on the upper floor 26 is transferred from the girth 14 to the metallic material 10. The axial force transferred to the metallic material 10 is transferred to the stud 44 via the girth 14 and a track 36 on the lower floor 32.
