<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-soluble coolant liquid which is prevented from rotting, improves the workability in metal machining, prolongs the life of a working tool, and prevents the loading on a grindstone in metal machining occurring due to the clogging of the grindstone by mixing electrolytic ion water into a water-soluble coolant liquid. SOLUTION: Electrolytic ion water obtained by an electrolytic ion water generation apparatus 1 and having a pH of 8.0-13.0 and/or an oxidation-reduction potential of -100 mV to -1,000 mV is sent into a mixing tank 3 while the liquid level is being controlled by a liquid level sensor 7. When the liquid level sensor 7 detects a suitable liquid level, sending of the electrolytic ion water is stopped. Then, a raw water-soluble coolant liquid is sent from a raw water-soluble coolant liquid tank 5 with a metering pump 4 into the mixing tank 3. While the sent electrolytic ion water and the sent raw water-soluble coolant liquid are being mixed with a stirrer 6, the resultant water-soluble coolant liquid is supplied with a transfer pump 8 to a finishing machine.</p> |
