PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high lift work device which can easily and quickly cope with in the case of changing an angle of a boom, and safely perform work by immediately operating a fixed mechanism in spite of a condition of a work frame. SOLUTION: One end of a cylinder member 25a of a buffer mechanism 25 with a fixed mechanism is connected to a support arm 21, the other end of a piston rod 25b is connected to a work frame 23, a free piston 25d pressing the piston rod 25b returned into the cylinder member 25a by nitrogen gas 25c is provided, circulation of buffer fluid 25g between two chambers 25e, 25f in the cylinder member 25a is regulated through an orifice 25h, a turn speed of the work frame 23 is suppressed by buffer action in both extending/contracting directions of the piston rod 25b, and operating arms 25k, 26k are operated by a control handle 43 and a link 42a, 42b to stop the piston rod 25b, the work frame 23 is placed in a fixed condition. In this way, the work frame 23 suppresses its shaking and rapid turning, moreover so that it can be immediately fixed by only operating the control handle 43.
