<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle steering switch excellent in the easiness to manipulate and managing with less space for installation. SOLUTION: The steering switch 3 for use in a vehicle is furnished with an operating knob 6 rotatably pivoted on a supporting member 4, wherein the supporting member 4 is fixed to the rear surface of a pad part 1c of a steering wheel 1 while the knob 6 is protruded into a space 2 between a ring part 1a and the pad part 1c. The supporting member 4 is furnished with a circuit board 7 having a pair of resistance patterns 7a and 7b, while the knob 6 is fitted with a sliding shoe 18 to slide on the circuit board 7. The relative positioning between the board 7 and sliding shoe 18 is varied by pushing or pulling the knob 6 with finger(s) of the driver so that two sorts of On-signals are emitted, and shiftup or shiftdown is made while running is made in the drive range on the basis of On-signals.</p> |
