PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for cutting foods by which not only a food flow of a stick-type food to be cut in the longitudinal section direction but also the food flow thereof in the cross section direction (cutting section direction) can be adjusted. SOLUTION: At least three shutters 1, 1 1... are pivotally supported so as to freely be swingable so that the tip edge 11 of each shutter slidably moves the side edge 12 of the adjacent shutter to make a cutting area A enclosed by side edges 12 of the plural shutters capable of expanding/contracting and opened/shut, and the axial center 10 of each shutter 1 is alienated from the center O of the cutting area A accompanied with closing rotational movement of the shutter.
