PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge capable of stably supplying only an ink liquid of an excellent density range even when it is held or stored for a long time. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge comprises ink holding chambers 31 and 32 packed with an ink impregnated porous holding material and has first deformable parts 61 and 62 constituted of an elastic material of which the shape can be changed by a pressing force loaded inward from outside the ink cartridge and also can be restored to the state before loading of the pressing force by cancellation of the force, and second deformable parts 63 and 64 constituted of the elastic material of which the shape can be changed in the direction of the outside of the cartridge corresponding to the change in the shape in the direction of the inside of the cartridge in the first deformable parts and also can be restored to the state before loading of the pressing force by cancellation of the force. These deformable parts are provided at least in some portions of the wall parts of the ink holding chambers which are exposed to the outside of the cartridge. |
