PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel low molecular compound having a G-CSF-like activity and which can be substituted for G-CSF preparations. SOLUTION: The novel low molecular compound is an imidazole derivative represented by formula (1) [wherein, R1 is a lower alkyl group, R2 is an alkyl group or an aralkyl group, and X1 is a halogen atom] and its salt. The compound can be used as an active ingredient in pharmaceuticals and their synthetic intermediates.
