<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reducing an excessive amount of sludge that makes combined use of the shear of a pump and the oxidizing ability of hydrogen peroxide. SOLUTION: In the method for reducing an excessive amount of sludge in cleaning an organic sewage with an aerobically biological treatment in which characteristically an activated sludge in the process of the aerobically biological treatment is absorbed by a pump, a chemical oxidizing agent containing at least hydrogen peroxide is supplied, and then the sludge is sprayed into water or air from the outlet pipe of the pump and subjected to an aerobically biological treatment which is the same as or different from the above biological treatment, and the device for this method is provided. It is preferred that at least both hydrogen peroxide-containing solution and air are supplied to the pipe system of the activated sludge-absorbing pump.</p> |
