<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse paddle-type fermenter wherein stirring is carried out with less power and in a shorter time and several kinds of raw materials are stirred with a single stirrer, and also provide its operating method. SOLUTION: The transverse paddle-type fermenter is provided with a transverse-type fermenter 1 which stores a raw material and composts it through fermentation, a paddle-type stirrer 2 which turns the raw material upside and down and stirs it while transferring to one direction, a running apparatus 3a which runs the above stirrer 2 freely in the fermenter and a transverse apparatus 3b which makes transverse, in more detail, is provided with a return path 5, which joins a charging part 4a to a discharging part 4b directly, at the inside of a side wall 1a of the above fermenter 1. The fermenter 1 is separated into several fermenters with separators in some cases. The above path 5 is divided at the inside of the side wall 1a by a space part 5 without the piled raw material, whose width is enough for the stirrer 2 to run through, or by the wall.</p> |
