PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring system and a measuring apparatus wherein a single apparatus enables articles to be subjected to combination measuring, rank sorting, and weight checking based on the weight of the articles that is measured while the articles are horizontally conveyed. SOLUTION: A single measuring apparatus is provided with a measuring conveyor 12, six sorting devices 131-136, and a control part 16. A switching part 16e in the control part 16 enables selection of any part from a combination calculating part 16b for calculating the combination of the articles, a rank sorting part 16c for specifying the articles by weight ranks, and a weight checking part 16d for checking whether the weight of the articles is proper/ improper. A sort controlling part 16f in the control part 16 operates corresponding sorting devices 131-136, based on the weight of the articles measured by a weight detector 12a equipped to the measuring conveyor 12.
