PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic or dermatological composition for local application which contains retinol and a UV irradiation-blocking agent but does not have bad affect on the stability of retinol. SOLUTION: The UV-irradiation-isolating agent is benzene-1,4-di(3- methylidene-10-camphoroylsufonic acid), its alkaline metal salt, its alkaline earth metal salt, its ammonium salt, its organic base salt or the like. The cosmetic or dermatological composition for local application contains retinol. The cosmetic and/or dermatological composition can be stored for several months without the deterioration of its effectiveness.
