PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller and lighter positioning device with high precision. SOLUTION: When a cam slider 17 is pushed up, the ascending movement is converted into outward horizontal movement of cams 15, 16, and claws 4, 6 are opened. By putting a work 2 to lower the cam slider 17, the claws 4, 6 are moved toward the center by return springs 10, 12. The claw 4, to which the return spring 10 with a strong spring force, utilizing springability of formed wire spring, applies force, is stopped ahead by a stopper, or an adjustment screw 8 to make a reference plane, and the claw 6, to which force is applied by the return spring 12 with a weak spring force, puts the work 2 close to the reference plane and positions it. By using wire spring for the return springs 10, 12 and forming the releasing mechanism for the claws 4, 6 with the simple- structured cams 15, 16 and the cam slider 17, a smaller and lighter positioning device is realized. |
