PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antigenic substance for antemortem diagnosis of an animal suffering from encephalitozoonosis. SOLUTION: This cultured cell line of RK-13 is parasitized and proliferated with Encephalitozoon cuniculi derived from a rabbit. The method for preparing the cultured cell line is provided. The antigen is obtained by treating the produced protozoa spore. Furthermore, the immunoassay reagent is prepared by adsorbing the resultant spore antigen on an insoluble carrier.
