PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing-up device for a sewing machine in which a fabric presser bar and a top fabric feed roller can smoothly be moved up and down. SOLUTION: A pressing-up shaft 52 arranged on the downstream side in the fabric feed direction of the presser bar 2 and supported movably vertically by means of a sewing machine arm MA and a connecting means 60 for connecting an operating means 31 with the pressing-up shaft 52 are provided and the pressing-up shaft 52 is moved up and down by operating the operating means 31 and by interlocking the upward and downward movement of this pressing-up shaft 52, a fabric presser bar 11 and the top fabric feed roller 7 are formed movably vertically.
