PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and safely change a winding shaft for a short time, in a sheet winding device provided with a winding shaft extract returning mechanism and winding up a strip sheet by using a winding shaft suitably selected from plural winding shafts. SOLUTION: A movable bearing 6 suitable to a common supporting cylinder 7 fixed on a frame 2 penetrated by winding shafts 1a, 1b is provided at each end portion of the plural winding shafts 1a, 1b, and the movable bearing 6 can be detached from the winding shaft extract returning mechanism 5. The winding shaft extract returning mechanism 5 allows the winding shafts 1a, 1b to go backward at a winding shaft changing position more behind an extracting position. Winding shaft bearing 22, 23 can respectively support the winding shafts 1a, 1b so as to move in a longitudinal direction. A pausing winding shaft supporting device 24 is arranged near the winding changing position, which supports the winding shaft bearing 22, 23 movably in a radial direction so as to position at a winding shaft bearing transfer position where each of the winding shafts 1a, 1b supported by the winding shaft bearings 22, 23 is positioned at the winding shaft changing position, and at a winding shaft storing position along the winding shaft bearing transfer position.
