PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable holder, in which a lead can be housed by a sanitary and simple operation. SOLUTION: The feeding of the lead 14 or the lead holder 16 and the retraction of the lead 14 and the lead holder 16 are changed over each other by the amount of advancement of a collet determined by the amount of operation of a push-button 30. When the push-button 30 is depressed midway in its travel, every predetermined amount of the lead 14 is fed through the coacting action of the collet 22 and a feeding collet ring 24. Further, when the push-button 30 is depressed throughout, the collet part 22a of the collet 22 is housed in the housing part 26a of a return collet ring 26 and narrowed, resulting in punching the holder part 16b of the lead holder 16. When the depression of the push-button 30 is released, the collet part 22a retreats under the state that the holder part 16b of the lead holder 16 is pinched therein, resulting in retracting the lead in an outer tube 12. |
