AIR FILTER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new seal part structure in an air filter element used by fitting the central opening part of an end plate in a cylindrical member. SOLUTION: The opening part 18 of the end plate 10 is formed from the inner peripheral seal part 11 capable of closely coming into contact with the outer surface of the cylindrical member and a groove part 12 is axially formed from the end surface 10 of the end plate 10 along the opening part on the outer side of the diameter direction of the inner peripheral seal part 11. A closure part 13 for closing the end surface 2b of a filter part is formed outside the diameter direction of the groove part 12. The end plate 10 is constituted of the soft inner peripheral seal part 11 and the hard closure part 13 in which the end surface 2b of the filter part is embedded and they are integrally molded to form a composite structure.
