PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation gabion realizing both strengthening and vegetation of a slope face, and finish it as a noninorganic design, and a slope face structure using this vegetation gabion. SOLUTION: In this vegetation gabion, a partition body 5 is arranged near a front part 3 in a wire net gabion body 2, a water permeable, water insoluble and sediment nonpassable mat 6 is arranged in line in a lining state on at least the front part 2a side, the bottom surface 2c side and the partition body 5 side in the front part 3 with this partition body 5 as a boundary, a sediment housing space part 7 is formed in the mat 6, and a stone housing space part 8 is formed in a rear part 4. In this slope face structure, by using the vegetation gabion 1, sediment 15 is housed in the sediment housing space part 7, stones 16 are housed in the stone housing space part 8, respectively, and are stacked in a multistage shape in a stairs state of revealing a part or the whole of an upper surface of the front part 3.
