PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earring or pierced earring, specifically such that has an excellent appearance and doesn't make a cut, etc., on the earlobe. SOLUTION: In this earring, one ends of a pair of ornament bases 1 and 2 are pivotably supported, and the other ends are them ear abutting parts. A U-shaped recess 3 is formed at one end of the ornament base 1, and a projection 4 to be stored in the recess 3 is formed at one end of the ornament base 2. The recess and the projection are pivotally supported by a pin 5. A leaf spring 6 is mounted on the inner side of the ornament base 1, and the front end 6a of the leaf spring 6 is bent toward the outside, facing the inner side of the U-shaped recess 3 as a structure 6a0. The bent front end 6a abuts to the outer surface 4c of the projection 4 with elastic force when the ornament bases 1 and 2 are opened, and abuts to the top end surface 4b of the projection 4 with elastic force when the ornament bases 1 and 2 are closed.
