PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flatness and plane tilt precision of a mirror surface of a rotary polygon mirror. SOLUTION: In this method for processing the rotary polygon mirror, a blank 1 for the rotary polygon mirror is kept installed on one processing jig 2, while an installation reference surface 1a to a motor for rotating the rotary polygon mirror, an inner diametric hole for installation onto the motor, and a reflection surface 1b are processed by a single cutting machine. |
