PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of making a steering assist in good performance without using car speed information. SOLUTION: On the basis of a steering torque T sensed by a torque sensor 10, a fundamental target amperage setting part 22 decides a fundamental target amperage. Without using car speed information, the road surface reaction force is determined by a road surface reaction force calculation part 23 from the steering torque T, the steering angleθv sensed by a steering angle sensor 11, and the motor current I of a motor 13. The obtained road surface reaction force is subjected to a processing made by a filter processing part 24, and the value subjected to the gain adjustment by an amplification part 26 is added to the fundamental target amperage so that the target amperage is decided. On the basis of this target amperage the motor 13 is feedback controlled. |
