PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical and high-yield manufacturing method of an organic silane which uses less catalyst than prior methods and in which recovery of the used catalyst is easy. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an organic silane is characterized in that a chlorosilane compound represented by formula 1 and an organic halogen compound represented by formula 2 are bound together by dehydrohalogenation reaction in the presence of a quaternary organic phosphonium salt as a catalyst to form an organic silane represented by formula 3 [wherein, in formula 1 and 3, R1 is a hydrogen atom, a chloro or a methyl group; in formula 2, X is a chloro or a bromo; R2 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aromatic group, or a halomethylaromatic group; R3 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aromatic group; in formula 3, R4 is the same as R2 of formula 2].
