IN VITRO SUPPRESSING METHOD OF PROLIFERATION OF CANCEROUS CELL, PRODRUG AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug having higher selectivity which is capable of suppressing cell proliferation and/or killing a cancer cell or the like that acquires resistance to therapy. SOLUTION: An in vitro suppressing method of proliferation of the cancerous cell includes contacting the cancerous cell with a prodrug selectively converted to a toxin in the cancerous cell by an endogenetic endocellular enzyme; the prodrug selectively converted to the toxin in the cancerous cell by the endogenetic endocellular enzyme, for use in a method to treat a living body of human or animal; use of the prodrug selectively converted to the toxin in the cancerous cell by the endogenetic endocellular enzyme, for production of a drug to be used in treatment for symptoms characterized by the cancerous cell.
