The child-proof stop for a sliding door or sliding window (54) incorporates a male part (10) with an angled hook (18), a first sprung component acting in first direction and a female part (30) with a recess (34) for accommodating the hook. A second sprung component (38) in a second direction tensions the angled hook in the recess. A release component (44) acts against the first sprung component of the male part. To remove the stop effect, two independent hand grips must be carried out: the first against the second direction, counteracting the tension of the angled hook in the recess, and a second maneuvring the release component in the first direction. |
