摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality ink jet head exhibiting excellent ink ejection performance by enhancing the wettability of an organic coating of a drive electrode to aqueous ink, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the ink jet head where driving walls 13 made of a piezoelectric material 1 and channel parts 12 are arranged alternately, a drive electrode 6 is provided on the driving wall 13 and ink in the channel part 12 is ejected by applying an electric field to the driving wall 13 through the drive electrode 6 thereby causing shear deformation of the driving wall 13, the drive electrode 6 is applied with an organic coating 7. The organic coating 7 has a carboxyl group or an amino group in the molecule of constitutional component and the existing ratio of carboxyl group or amino group satisfies following formula 1; 200<=(molecular weight of constitutional component of the organic coating)/(total number of carboxyl groups or amino groups contained in a molecule)<=10,000.
