PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improve drainage section of a washbasin capable of preventing the self-siphoning action occurring when discharging waste water and thereby always keeping appropriate volume of sealing water for blocking the unpleasant odor and noise and preventing the users of the washbasin, frequently using it in everyday life from feeling unpleasant. SOLUTION: A drainage section of a washbasin comprises a drain pipe jointed to a water receiving bowl of the washbasin at its leading end, and to a horizontally laying pipe installed under the floor at its tail end in which a biased trap is provided between the leading part and the end part of the drain pipe, and the inside diameter of the horizontally laying pipe is 1.5 times as large as that of the drain pipe.
