PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device provided with a suction and feeding means capable of securely feeding paper by preventing the occurrence of a slip without increasing cost of the suction and feeding means. SOLUTION: In this suction air type paper feeding device having a front side paper storage means arranged on a front side in the direction of paper conveyance and a rear side paper storage means arranged on a rear side in the direction of paper conveyance of the front side paper storage means, a second paper transfer means arranged in a rear part and above the front side paper storage means is operated simultaneously when conveyance of paper by the suction and feeding means is started when paper is stored in the front side paper storage means to stop the operation of the second paper transfer means after conveying a first predetermined amount of paper.
