PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossing device, with which a favorable embossing can be executed to a workpiece, by a method wherein wires are pressed against the workpiece with an enough pressing force through the application of the constitution of a wire-dot printer. SOLUTION: In this embossing device, pressing mechanisms 38 for pressing one or a plurality of wire 27, which are shifted to a position projected to the workpiece 24 side and employed for pressing onto the workpiece 24 together with a casing 23, are provided.
