A sanitary stool having an ultra-violet sterilization, deodorization, aroma and advertisement function and a control method thereof is provided. The sanitary stool includes a main body washing a stool by using water, a seat (10) installed on the top of the main body to enable a user to sit thereon in which a hinge is formed on one end thereof for hinge connection with the main body, a seat spring (11) mounted in the seat (10), for providing an elastic force separating the seat (10) from the main body when the weight of a user is not applied on the seat (10), a cover (30) covering the upper portion of the seat, an ultra-violet generator installed in the cover (30), for generating an ultra-violet ray for sterilization, a seat driving unit for driving the seat up and down according to use of a user, and controller means for judging whether the stool is used through a seat position detector and controlling the seat driving unit and the ultra-violet generator. |
