PURPOSE: A method for searching for an idle channel subcell in a CDMA system is provided to search for a subcell not having telephone traffic regardless of the existence of the failure of a BS(Base Station). CONSTITUTION: A control part monitors the traffic state of a BS(801). The control part controls a message collection part and collects call processing messages by BS subcells(803). Referring to the collected call processing messages, the control part controls a retrieval and analysis part to search for a forward idle channel subcell for a given time(805). If the forward idle channel subcell is detected for the given time, the control part tracks and analyzes the state of the detected idle channel subcell(807). Then, based on the collected call processing messages, the control part searches for a reverse idle channel subcell for a given time(809). If the reverse idle channel subcell is detected for the given time, the control part tracks and analyzes the state of the detected idle channel subcell(811). The control part outputs analyzed results for the detected idle channel subcells according to call types(813). |
