EXPANSION PIECE OF HOT BLAST LINE

metallurgy, particularly, equipment of hot blast lines of blast furnace; applicable in all branches of national economy where units of pipelines used for compensation of thermal loads. SUBSTANCE: expansion piece has branch pipes connected by corrugated diaphragm. Secured inside to one of branch pipes is shell to form circular chamber. Expansion piece has bosses located in aperture of circular chamber and secured to shell overhanging part. Thickness of each boss equals 0.80-0.95 of size of circular chamber aperture. Expansion piece is also provided with thermocouple and pipes for supply of coolant. EFFECT: increased stability of operation of hot blast system and reduced consumption of gaseous fuel. 2 cl, 2 dwg
