<p>PURPOSE:To prevent seizure of a clutch at the time of excess slip, even when the friction plate of the clutch is degraded by detecting the degree of degradation in the friction plate of the clutch of a differential device based on the accumulated amount of absorbed energy of the clutch, and by reducing torque input to the differential device corresponding to the detected result. CONSTITUTION:A calculation circuit for calculating the accumulated amount of absorbed energy for each electromagnetic multiple disc clutch 50, is provided on a control unit 43 for differential gear, and the engine output is reduced based on the calculated value, to reduce torque input to a differential device. The fastening force of the clutch can be restricted to a lower level as the degradation degree of a friction plate is severe, and seizure of the clutch can be prevented when excess slip occurs, while the reliability of the device can be increased when the device is used for a long period of time. Since meaningless idle running of car wheels can be restricted even when excess slip occurs, the stability of the movement of the vehicle can thus be ensured.</p> |
