PURPOSE: A direct driving apparatus of an electric bicycle and a battery charger are provided to improve power train efficiency by excluding a power train unit for actuating driving wheels of the bicycle directly, and to charge the battery by converting into the generating mode of the motor at reverse load. CONSTITUTION: A driving wheel(3) of an electric bicycle is installed in a frame(5), and a direct current motor is installed in the middle of the driving wheel. A direct current motor stator(2) is fixed in the driving wheel, and a direct current motor rotor(1) is placed in the middle of the driving wheel. A shaft of the direct current motor stator is fixed in the frame. The stator is rotated in driving the direct current motor, and the electric bicycle is operated with actuating the driving wheel. The direct current motor is converted to the generating mode automatically in moving down on the slope or pedaling, and a battery(4) is charged. Power transmission efficiency is improved with integrally forming the driving wheel with the direct current motor, and the battery is charged at reverse load.
