Waste from confined animal feeding/growing operation is flushed from barn (10) and routed to an enclosed anaerobic digester (1, 2). A liquid portion (46) of the digested waste is further treated with aerobic digestion (18) and then clarified (20) liquid is used to flush the barn (10) and restart the cycle. Highwater volume used for frequent flushing of the barn combined with enclosed anaerobic digestion leads to control of odors. |
