<p>A system for targeting promotions (30) to one or more network device (10). The system includes a program manager server or scheduler which generates a promotion schedule for the display of promotions (30) on individual network devices (10). The scheduler matches a viewership profile of the network device (10) with membership criteria describing a particular demographic, viewership history, or geographic location. The system includes a promotion agent which receives the schedule from the scheduler, and processes the schedule information. The promotion agent may transmit the processed schedule information to a bulk manager agent which may receive the promotions (30) from a bulk manager server. The bulk manager server may store the promotions (30) prior to downloading them to the bulk manager agent, or may retrieve the promotions (30) from a database. The schedule information may include the time schedule for displaying the specified promotions (30) and the location on a viewing device (20) where the promotion (30) is to be displayed.</p> |
