[Class 132 (ii).] A device for use in practising putting comprises a golf-hole substitute of the kind wherein a member 8 partly surrounding a space 7 and of sufficient height to prevent a ball readily passing over it, is maintained in position on the playing surface solely by its weight, the extremities of the member.being at a distance apart equal to the maximum width of the space so that the space is open over its full width. The member is preferably of semicircular or U-shape and may be enclosed by larger members 15, 17 of a similar shape. To complete the configuration of the spaces enclosed by the members, fine wires 13 are pivoted to the extremities of each member.</p> |
