A system and related methods are described for synchronizing information on a handheld computer (102) with information on a database program by a server. The handheld computer (102) includes a first application program to maintain a first database (114) and a second application program to enable a user to access the first database (114) and change records in the first database (114) according to features selected by the user. The system also includes a synchronization program (122) running on a host computer system (104) to synchronize the first database on the handheld computer (102) with a server database.
