A method for providing contents data to internet terminals connectable to the Internet through a server computer connected to the Internet, wherein if image data referred to is present in the contents data to be distributed to the internet terminals, conversion of the description format of the contents data to another format corresponding to the access method of the internet terminals and conversion of the image file format of the image data to another image file format displayable on the internet terminals are separately performed, and the contents data and/or the image data the format of which is converted is distributed to the internet terminals.
