An assembly to draw warp yarns (2) through a double reed (1) has two fixing blades (4,5), with slits (10), at one side of the reed. They are brought in and out of the reed, in a cycled movement, to engage with the reed dents and the gaps (10) between neighboring reed dents in a row (6) of reed dents. A disengaged fixing blade is moved away from the other fixing blade when it is engaged and draws in the hooks. The other disengaged fixing blade is drawn towards the first when it is engaged.
