The invention relates to a hydraulic power plant (1) comprising an anchored floating body (2), provided with at least one flow channel (3, 7, 8) with at least one converting device (4), wherein mechanical energy is converted into hydraulic kinetic energy by said converting device. The flow channel (3, 7, 8) is constructed in such a manner that it exploits the kinetic energy from the wave breakers. The inlet (3a) of the flow channels (3, 7, 8) is disposed above the waterline of the floating body (2) on a longitudinal side (2d) of said floating body (2) orientated towards the breakers (5) and extends with a gradient in relation to an outlet (3b) arranged on the opposite longitudinal side (2e) of the floating body (2).
