Raw materials undergo tanning pretreatment. The known, enclosed, environmentally-friendly, pressure swing process is employed for treatment of hides and skins. Protein structures are de-greased, limed and tanned. Then with the original leather waste, the materials are mixed to a homogeneous material structure in the pressure swing reactor (5), having pressed-out the fat/oil phase.
