The operating unit comprises an actuator connected to the clutch controller via a gear mechanism. A swivel connection is provided between the gear mechanism and clutch controller and has a socket (85) with a claw for the ball head (83). To initiate a pressure force on the clutch controller a force is created on the bearing side of the ball head facing the ball socket, while to initiate a tension force on the clutch controller the claw exerts a force on the free side of the ball head facing away from the socket.
