Aqueous coating preparations for strippable protective coatings contain (A) an aqueous dispersion of polyurethane with components derived from polydienes and (B) a polysiloxane, preferably with no aromatic, hydroxyl or amino groups, and optionally pigments and/or additives. Aqueous coating preparation for production of removable protective coatings containing (A) an aqueous dispersion of polyurethane containing components derived from polydienes, (B) a polysiloxane, preferably with no aromatic groups and no hydroxyl or amino groups, optionally (C) pigments and optionally (D) additives selected from highly dispersed silica, foam suppressants, wetting agents, reinforcing materials, flow improvers, thickeners and anti-settling agents.
