<p>A novel gene expressed selectively by osteoblast lines is provided. Expression of the gene is highly restricted to cells of osteoblast lineage, including precursor cells. Also provided is a method for promoting bone formation by providing agents that bind to the novel gene within osteoblast cells to stimulate bone formation.</p> |
