The rotor for a turbine pump has a bearing tube (18) with an axial bore (12) to receive a pump shaft. the tube has vanes (36) to feed liquid between suction and pressure sides. The tube has an even number of vanes formed on it, with each second vane extending over the outer edge of two adjacent shorter vanes in the longitudinal axis direction.
