PURPOSE: A convenient portable measuring instrument is provided to facilitate the initializing of the measuring instrument and the measurement of atmosphere oxygen and so on. CONSTITUTION: The portable measuring instrument is comprised of a battery power source; a sensor(20) for detecting the density, the temperature, the amount and so on of gas; a processing part for converting analog signals input from the sensor to digital signals; and a display part(300) for displaying measured values processed by the processing part. The sensor is separably attached to the processing part.
